West Ham have announced Brazilian Felipe Anderson as their club record signing.

The attacking midfielder signs from Lazio on a four-year contract in a deal worth up to £41.5million with add-ons.

Anderson becomes the club’s seventh signing of the summer, and breaks the club record fee set when defender Issa Diop joined last month.

The Brazilian, who has one cap at international level, missed the early part of last season through injury but featured as the Serie A side made it to the quarter-finals of the Europa League.

The 25-year-old has scored 25 goals and assisted a further 33 in 137 top-flight games in Italy and was also linked with Premier League rivals Leicester City earlier this summer.

Anderson is expected to join his new teammates as they continue their pre-season preparations with a trip to Austria for games against Mainz and Angers, before beginning their Premier League campaign at Liverpool in August.
