West Ham vs Tottenham
Premier League 2018/19
Venue: London Stadium
Date: Saturday, 20 October
Kick-off: 3pm BST

West Ham host Tottenham in the first of two meetings between the two rivals at the London Stadium in October.

The Hammers' season looked to be back on track after taking seven points from nine against Everton, Chelsea and Manchester United but a defeat away to Brighton last time out halted that progress.

Spurs meanwhile have won their last three in the league and are sat two points off the top.

Team news

Robert Snodgrass is expected to be available despite withdrawing from the Scotland squad with an injury at the end of last week. Javier Hernandez (virus) and Arthur Masuaku (ankle) are also nearing a return.

Carlos Sanchez has joined long-term absentees Winston Reid, Andy Carroll and Manuel Lanzini on the treatment table.

Jack Wilshere als o remains absent having undergone minor ankle surgery in September.

Jan Vertonghen is ruled out until December after Spurs confirmed the extent of his thigh injury last week. Danny Rose withdrew from the England squad with a groin problem suffered against Cardiff and will be assessed ahead of kick-off.

Christian Eriksen’s agent has denied claims the midfielder is suffering from a “chronic” injury but it remains to be seen if the Dane will return for the trip to east London.

Mousa Dembele and Victor Wanyama (both thigh) are also doubts. Dele Alli (thigh) has been ruled out. Victor Wanyama limped out of Kenya's win over Ethiopia on Sunday but is expected to be available for the weekend.
