West Lothian M8 crash triggers huge rush hour tailbacks for commuters
West Lothian commuters are reportedly being hit with delays of over an hour following a smash on the busy M8.

Traffic Scotland has reported delays of up to 88 minutes for those in the area, with the motorway a sea of vehicles travelling between Glasgow and Edinburgh.

A single-vehicle car smash is understood to have kicked off the tailbacks, with Traffic Scotland alerting road users at around 4.40pm saying: "M8 Junction 5 eastbound road remains restricted due to a single vehicle collision.
"One lane has reopened to allow traffic to pass but tailback remains heavy back to junction six. Delays of approximately 88 minutes."
