The Met Office is forecasting a sunny Saturday for the West Midlands as we kick off a bank holiday weekend. Saturday May 25 will be warm for the region - between 13C and 19C all day - and looks like it will stay dry.

However, that will be as good as it gets for a little while. Rain is set to fall on Sunday, May 26, and get worse throughout the half-term week. However, enjoy Saturday while it is here.

There will be sun breaking through the clouds with temperatures peaking at 19C at 3pm, according to the Met Office

The Met Office forecast for Saturday states: "Largely dry and fine with some sunshine. Turning hazier during the afternoon as high cloud builds. A low chance of the odd afternoon shower. Feeling much warmer in the sunshine. Maximum temperature 20C."

Forecast for beyond Saturday

The weather is set to get a lot wetter into the bank holiday weekend, according to the Met Office.

A spokesman said: "Scattered showers on Sunday, possibly heavy and thundery. Further showers on Monday. A strengthening breeze and outbreaks of rain on Tuesday. Generally staying warm, particularly in sunnier interludes."
