West Midlands nursery launches free-childcare scheme with one condition
West Midlands parents are being offered free nursery childcare in a unique scheme. Launched by a Bromsgrove nursery, the scheme is offering free childcare for siblings of children already at the nursery.
The idea of the scheme is to "support local families with the cost of nursery education." The initiative, run by The Old Station Nursery, provides free childcare for siblings so that more children and parents can reap the benefits of nursery enrolment.
Announcing the scheme on Wednesday November 20, nursery bosses invited families to come and tour their facilities. As nursery fees are often a significant part of household expenditure, The Old Station Nursery said they want to support more families to experience the benefits of nursery, which includes cognitive, social, and physical development and confidence ahead of starting school.

Commenting on the initiative's launch, nursery manager Kirsty Johnston said, “We want to make nursery education as accessible as possible for the families in our community, and this new offer is a significant step towards achieving that.
"We welcome all to tour our nursery and see the activities we offer, which are designed to foster a child’s curiosity and development alongside The Old Station Nursery Group’s bespoke curriculum, the Brighter Learning Approach, which aims to enhance the EYFS, ensuring that all children develop a life-long love for learning”.
