West Yorkshire Police officer charged with sexual assault

A police officer in West Yorkshire has been charged with sexual assault and outraging public decency.

PC Lee Parker, aged 40, faces two counts of sexual assault on a woman and one count of outraging public decency.

West Yorkshire Police said Parker was based at the force's operational support unit and that the charges related to an "off-duty incident" in December 2021.

A statement said he was scheduled to appear at Manchester Magistrates Court on Thursday.

The force said PC Parker had been suspended from duty since the investigation was launched into the incident.
