Westfield incident: Police probe suspect vehicle in shopping centre car park
Police were investigating a suspicious vehicle in the car park of Westfield shopping centre in west London.
Scotland Yard said officers were called to reports of a suspicious vehicle at about 10.30am on Friday.
Specialist officers were sent to the scene in Shepherd's Bush and the vehicle was being assessed.
The incident was stood down at shortly after 12.30pm.
Cordons were in place and there was no exit from London Underground stations close to the car park. The shopping centre remained open.
White City and Wood Lane Tube stations were closed, TfL said.

One witness posted on social media: "So I go to visit the new wing of @westfieldlondon and there’s a #suspectvehicle in the car park so they’re pulling police tape in front of me.
"Whole place evacuated on lockdown. The new @johnlewisretail will have to wait! #westfield... policemen everywhere."

A Scotland Yard spokesman said: "Police are currently dealing with a suspicious vehicle in the car park at Westfield London Shopping Centre in White City.
"Specialist officers on scene, and the vehicle is being assessed. Cordons in place with road closures. Updates to follow."
A later statement said: "The incident at @westfieldlondon Shopping Centre in #WhiteCity has been stood down. Cordons are being lifted. We thank you for your patience."
British Transport Police said it was assisting the Met with the security scare.
A spokeswoman for John Lewis said the White City store remained open and trading as normal.
