Westport author releases new books

Mar. 8—GREENSBURG — Westport author Janet Teitsort recently published two books: "Molly Beth, Chapel Care Heroine" and "Midnight Mystery at Spider Lake."

Teitsort writes Christian Historical Fiction and Children's Literature and now has 10 books with her name on them.

She has written devotionals for teachers and one for busy women, "100 Answers to 100 Questions about God's Promises for You," plus her favorites, "Long Distance Grandma," "A Pink Web of Deception" and "Hannah's Song."

"Molly Beth, Chapel Car Heroine" details the adventures of 12-year-old Molly Beth and her parents as they seek to evangelize the West in the 1800s.

"Midnight Mystery" is the fictional story of the Tyler twins who become acquainted with life in their new home at Spider Lake. They barely arrive from the city before they are embroiled with a mysterious intruder hiding in their family's new boathouse.

Teitsort grew up in a small Indiana town and always dreamed of writing, but became a mother and a grandmother instead.

Teitsort has also contributed to several books with other authors.

The author and her husband John are active in their community and their church. She leads Good News Ministry and is a graduate. She also is a member of ACFW (American Christian Fiction Writers).

She juggles her busy schedule between home, family, her church ministries, writing, and tutoring children.

When asked why she loves writing, Teitsort said simplyh, "I guess it's my passion. I've always known I would be a writer, even when I was a little girl. At first, I didn't see how that could be because I lived in a little town, and the publishers were in the cities. But I saw this sign on my refrigerator that said, 'Bloom where you are planted' and started going to writers' conferences and God opened the door."

Her books are available at Amazon.com.
