Yahoo News Westworld producers reuniting for new Michael Crichton adaptation Sphere
Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy are adapting more of author Michael Crichton's work, and next up is a Sphere adaptation for HBO.
The real-life married couple are co-creators of science-fiction series Westworld (another HBO title), which is also inspired by Crichton's 1973 film of the same name.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Denise Thé is on board the Sphere project as showrunner, alongside producers Jonathan, Lisa and company Team Downey.

Originally published in 1987, Crichton's book follows Norman Johnson, a psychologist who joins a group of scientists tasked with an expedition to the Pacific Ocean floor.
While down there, they encounter an otherworldly object and must confront the dangerous mysteries of the universe.
Samuel L Jackson, Sharon Stone and Dustin Hoffman starred in a film adaptation 22 years ago, directed by Rain Man's Barry Levinson.

With Sphere now in the bag, Jonathan and Lisa's joint schedule is looking pretty hectic.
Just last month it was announced that the pair are creating a TV series based on Bethesda's post-apocalyptic game Fallout for Amazon Studios.
In a statement, the couple shared: "Fallout is one of the greatest game series of all time. Each chapter of this insanely imaginative story has cost us countless hours we could have spent with family and friends.
"So we're incredibly excited to partner with Todd Howard and the rest of the brilliant lunatics at Bethesda to bring this massive, subversive, and darkly funny universe to life with Amazon Studios."
Westworld airs on HBO in the US, and on Sky Atlantic and NOW TV in the UK.
