Wetherspoons will slash prices on seven drinks at 700 pubs next week

Wetherspoon will cut prices on drinks across 700 pubs next week. The pub chain will be cutting the price of a pint of Ruddles Best from Wednesday September 18 to just £1.79 with a range of other drinks prices being slashed to just £1.99.

Pub-goers could save money on drinks and food at Wetherspoons next week thanks to the deal. Customers will be able to sample Bell's Whiskey and mixer for £1.79, while a pint of Bud Light lager will set customers back £1.99, a pint of Worthington’s Creamflow ale will cost £1.99, a pint of Stowford Press Apple Cider will set punters back £1.99 and customers can get a single measure of Au Vodka with mixer for £1.99 and a single measure of XIX Vodka with mixer for £1.99.

The average price of the items before the promotion includes a pint of Ruddles Best - £1.85, a single measure of Bell’s whisky with mixer - £1.85, a pint of Bud Light lager - £2.39, a pint of Worthington’s Creamflow ale - £1.99m, a pint of Stowford Press Apple Cider - £2.39, a single measure of Au Vodka with mixer - £2.41 and a single measure of XIX Vodka with mixer - £2.41.

Wetherspoon founder and chairman Tim Martin said: “Our pubs are known for offering excellent food and drink at great value-for-money prices. We believe a pint of Ruddles Best, as well as the other drink and food offer, represents fantastic value.”

The pub's new food promotions include a mix and match of chicken wings, bites and strips and Quorn nuggets. The dishes will cost £2.99 each, but you can also mix and match two for £5.49, or get three of them for £7.49.

Wetherspoons has also extended the sale of two other meals - the Sticky Korean fried chicken bowl and the Sticky Korean fried Quorn ‘no chicken’ bowl - throughout the autumn.
