Where to find beautiful cherry blossom trees in Liverpool

Cherry blossoms have bloomed across Liverpool making for picture-perfect opportunities.

A number of parks, green spaces and public gardens are lucky enough to home the trees which only add to the surrounding area's beauty.

Fans of the pink blossoms only have a small window to admire them in all their glory before they green for summer. Luckily, we've rounded up just a few places to snap your Instagram-perfect photos before then.

Greenbank Park, Mossley Hill

Greenbank Park is a lovely and tranquil place to be in when the cherry blossom is out. It has a number of cherry blossom trees near to the lake.

It's a good place to go for a walk or enjoy a well-earned rest in the spring sunshine. You can get access to the park via Greenbank Road, Greenbank Lane and Gorsebank Road, which is off Smithdown Road.

Botanic Park and Gardens, Wavertree

Just across Edge Lane from Taverners confectionery factory is the glorious Botanic Park and Gardens. It is open all year round and it looks gorgeous when the cherry blossom is in bloom.

You can walk through the path under all of the cherry blossoms. The gardens meanwhile are a lovely well-kept part of the park and it is a peaceful haven of tranquillity.

Sefton Park

A group of cherry blossom trees together make a beautiful site - and you can see them in all of their glory in Sefton Park.

As well as pink and white they can sometimes appear in yellow, gold and green. They are dotted all over the park, which makes long walks very enjoyable when they are bursting with colour.

St John's Gardens

At the back of St George's Hall in Liverpool city centre are the lovely St John's Gardens, an open green space. Among the memorials and statues to notable people of the city, there are cherry blossom trees.

They look lovely when sitting down on a bench watching the world go by.

Calderstones Road

Here on Calderstones Road the cherry blossom trees seem to have a variety of different colours in them. Sometimes they look light green, sometimes light blue, sometimes white and of course pink.

They make the stroll look much more pleasant when walking the dog or just going for a walk alone.

Menlove Avenue, Woolton

There beneath the blue suburban skies on Menlove Avenue in Woolton are a number of healthy cherry blossom trees to admire.

This is a brilliant spot in a pretty suburban area and is a great place to catch them in their dazzling best when they are in full bloom.


When the cherry blossom bloom on Upper Harrington Street in Toxteth it seems to hang over the road like a big pink cloud.

The scene looks particularly beautiful in the sunshine and they make you feel good on a walk in to work in the city centre.
