For those looking for a dog to adopt, Birmingham Dogs Home has several “patient pooches” looking for a forever home. The team at the animal charity is there to help adopters through every step of the way to assist in finding a new best friend.
German Shepherd Dogs - Macey is the lighter smaller shepherd with the smooth coat, and Nut is the darker fluffier female. Both Nut and Macey were brought into the centre as overweight strays, but they have come a long way since then. They are both very affectionate and love nothing more than getting lots of cuddles and attention. They also get along very well with each other and enjoy each other’s company.
Established in 1892, this animal charity is home to dogs of different sizes, ages and temperaments and they take care to match you with a dog to suit your family and lifestyle. As an adopter, it is recommended to research as many breeds as you can to find out what characteristics you would like and find out more about each breeds requirements. Here are seven dogs currently looking for a forever home at Birmingham Dogs Home:
Terrier - Ike is an adorable 14-year-old terrier. He is a nice boy who listens well and knows basic commands like Sit and Give Paw. He’s also very loyal and likes to cuddle up with his humans. However, one thing to note is that Ike doesn’t like visiting the vets and prefers to eat his food in peace without anyone handling his bowl. He is on hold currently.
Crossbreed - She is a friendly girl, who enjoys having a fuss and likes nothing better than a good belly rub. She is looking for an active new home, able to supply her with lots of exercise and stimulation. She is quite a clever girl and can sit, give a paw, lie down and do respond to my name.
Doberman - He is a sweet and active dog who loves to play and be with people. Sterling is very bouncy, so he needs a family who can keep up with his energy levels. He is motivated by food and human interaction, so he will be an excellent companion for a family who enjoys spending time with their pet.
Crossbreed - Stryker is a sweet boy who can get a little nervous from when you first meet him but soon comes out of his shell. He is a very strong lad who will pull forward on his walks when he sees something that he is interested in.
Labrador Crossbreed -This 2-year-old Labrador crossbreed is a real gem of a girl who is full of life, energy, and love. Poppy is a gorgeous lady who is eager to please and make new friends but is also very excitable and can be a bit shy at first. She loves to explore and play with her toys, and she is a real sweetheart who just wants to have fun.
Staffordshire Bull Terrier - Arlo is a friendly and clever boy who knows most of his basic commands such as sit, give paw, and lie down. He is also very active, he loves to be outdoors exploring and keeping to himself. Arlo is under socialised resulting in him being quite vocal around dogs, which is why he needs a patient and understanding owner who is willing to put in some work to help him build confidence.

Piers Morgan, the broadcaster, may have finally blown apart the long-running Royal “racism row” when he named on his Talk TV show two members of the Royal family a new book claims were the individuals so disgracefully implicated by the Duchess of Sussex. You may recall that Morgan was sacked by ITV when he said, after the Sussexes’ interview with Oprah, that he didn’t believe a word Meghan had said. Like millions of us, he has had enough of this manipulative, malevolent nonsense, apparently calc
