Where to buy a real tree in Glasgow this Christmas
With Christmas trees going up earlier and earlier every year, many families around Glasgow will already be looking to buy theirs and make a day of it.
While there's nothing wrong with getting into the festive spirit a little earlier, the added stress of trying to source the perfect tree can be a pain.
For some, artificial trees just don't do cut it, and only the real McCoy will do. Fortunately, there are many places in and around the city selling trees this season - and, let's be honest, nothing beats the look and smell of a real one.

You can even get them delivered if the thought of battling the festive crowds seems a little off-putting - so to help, here's a selection of the best places to buy a real Christmas tree near Glasgow this festive season.
Edenmill
Where : Edenmill Farm, Blanefield
Located not too far from Glasgow, Edenmill offers all the magic of not only the real tree but also selecting, and cutting, your own tree, creating wonderful memories for the families.
Nestled amid frosty evergreens, the expansive farm offers the chance to get hands on, or not, as you like.
Their festive trees start at £48 and you can pick out a huge range of sizes.

Real Christmas Trees Glasgow
Where : 100 Crowhill Road, Bishopbriggs
Real Christmas Trees Glasgow in Bishopbriggs are one of the most convenient places to grab a real tree in Glasgow and they offer a range of Nordmann Fir, Fraser Fir, and Potted Trees, with prices starting at just £30.
They also sell unique half whisky barrels for stands, which makes a lovely decorative touch. Free delivery is also offered throughout the Greater Glasgow area.

Where : Glasgow Road, Milngavie
West of Scotland Christmas Trees has been trading trees for over 40 years, so they probably know what they're doing.
Their Christmas trees are grown as a crop in a completely renewable and sustainable format.
The trees also won't have been out of the ground for more than four days on average at the time of purchase, ensuring customers get a fresh, healthy tree. Delivery is also available to some parts of Glasgow.

Duff Christmas Tree Farm
Where: Wester Auchentroig Farm, Nr Buchlyvie
Create a new family tradition this year, with a trip to Duff Christmas Tree Farm, which is open every day from 9 am to 5 pm from November 30.
Offering a range of sizes, from 3 feet right up to 9 feet, you can pick from Nordman Fir, Fraser Fir and Norway Spruce.
The farm will provide the sw, but recommends you bring your own gloves and something to kneel on, as well as suitable footwear. There is free parking, no need to book and it's dog friendly too.

IKEA Glasgow
IKEA is helping people's money go a little further this festive season by launching a deal where people can buy a Christmas tree and save some cash when shopping in the new year.
The retailer has announced it’s running a limited time festive tree offer at its Braehead store, where for every real tree purchased in store from November 23 to December 15 (whilst stocks last), customers can get a £20 IKEA voucher – an extra gift to mark the season.
The voucher is also available for pre-order on real trees in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen. Pre-order is available in store now for collection of the real trees from November 23, meaning effectively you can get a real tree for less than a tenner.

Aldi stores around Glasgow
Aldi Scotland says it is set to sell the cheapest real Christmas trees this festive season, as it announces the return of its freshly cut Nordmann Fir trees, with prices starting from just £13.99.
The festive trees will be sprouting into stores from Thursday, November 21 for medium trees, with large trees following on Sunday, November 24, offering customers a chance to get their hands on a fresh Christmas centrepiece as the countdown to Santa Claus ramps up.
Priced at £13.99 medium (5-6ft) or £19.99 large (6-7ft) trees, the hand-selected Nordmann Firs are available across Aldi’s 107 Scottish stores while stocks last.
Findlaystone Country Park
Where: Langbank, Port Glasgow
This family (and dog) friendly estate lets you tag a tree for cutting later (for freshness) with the sweet smelling Norway Spruce and prices starting from £40 per 7 foot tree.
They can also arrange a cut and delivery service.

West End Garden Centre's fresh cut Fraser and Nordmann Firs start at just £39.99 if you're after a Pot Grown tree. So long as you live in Glasgow, they'll deliver it too - what more could you want?
