Where international royals love to eat, drink and shop in New York

When royals venture stateside, they're pretty good at flying under the radar (unless, of course, they're Meghan Markle attempting to go incognito in the middle of New York City or at the US Open).

For most, it’s easy enough to blend in, especially in New York, where everyone's usually too busy staring at their phones.

If you're hoping to spot a royal in the wild, we've compiled some of their favorite places stateside.

The equal parts elegant and low-key Bowery Hotel is a favorite hang-out for Princess Eugenie. It certainly helps that there are no photographs allowed inside, whether you’re a commoner or one of Queen Elizabeth’s granddaughters. The princess has even taken her mother Sarah Ferguson to the hotel’s Italian restaurant, Gemma.

Princess Beatrice also spends a lot of her time in Manhattan, although she’s never been snapped accompanying her sister to The Bowery. When she isn’t venturing out to the Met Ball in Alberta Ferretti or attending events at the UN, her day-to-day life in the Big Apple is pretty relaxed. The New York resident likes to stop into Juice Press but also parties at Milk Studios with the model set - Karlie Kloss is a close friend.

Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie aren't the only royals spending time stateside.

Princess Diana’s recently engaged niece, Lady Kitty Spencer, is often spotted sharing her New York adventures with her more than 500,000 Instagram followers. She’s spent time in The Hamptons, where she dined at the colorful, kitschy restaurant Sunset Beach on Shelter Island, she's snapped selfies at The Mark and stopped by Russian Tea Room for an afternoon cake fix. She even spent time in Times Square, although the model wasn’t playing tourist, she was posing for Brazilian Vogue.

Royal cousin Lady Amelia Windsor has her own, far more hipster, itinerary when she stops into town during breaks from the University of Edinburgh, sharing Instagram posts from the Williamsburg Bridge. Perhaps while there, she ran into Monegasque royal Pauline Ducruet, who posed with her pup in front of a Williamsburg mural for Elle China. Ducruet also ventured to The White Lodge, an experiential pop-up that appears all over the city.

The Greek royal family love New York too. Princess Olympia of Greece attends Parsons School of Design, but she also visits Los Angeles with her cousin and travel companion, Talita von Furstenberg. Princess Olympia is a fan of La Esquina, while Talita, who has ties to Germany’s royal family, prefers Indochine.

Princess Olympia has even ventured to Dave & Busters (though it was for a Paper magazine shoot), proving royals really are just like us... if we had the courage to venture to Midtown.
