Here’s where you can take the kids for breakfast with Santa in 2024

Christmas is just around the corner and many children will be excitedly waiting to meet Santa Claus - preferably over a spot of breakfast. There are an abundance of restaurants, cafes and pubs around the Six Towns and North Staffordshire who offer guests the chance to have breakfast with Santa.

Alton Towers, Churnet Valley Railway and the World of Wedgwood are just a couple of the nearby businesses offering incredible breakfast with Santa experiences. We’ve compiled a list of where you can go to have breakfast with the big man himself in Stoke-on-Trent and Newcatle-under-Lyme to suit every pocket and age group. Book in advance to avoid disappointment, as these events usually sell out quickly.

Alton Towers

Families can visit Santa’s Grotto in Mistletoe Lane when they book a ‘Santa Sleepover’ at Alton Towers Resort. As well as having the chance to meet Santa Claus, children will receive a gift, entry to the theme park including CBeebies Land, they can watch a Festive show in the Courtyard, solve puzzles, and watch the new Jack and the Beanstalk Panto.

As well as an overnight stay in the hotels, guests can indulge in a festive evening meal and festive entertainment, before being treated to a breakfast buffet in the morning. They will also receive entry to the water park and extraordinary golf on check-out day. Tickets start from £90 per person, with the event taking place between November 29 to December 23.

World of Wedgwood, Barlaston

The World of Wedgwood is offering children and their parents or guardians the opportunity to enjoy a hearty breakfast in its Tea Room - with Father Christmas, of course, who will be stationed in his Woodland Grotto. This breakfast includes smoked salmon bagels, classic eggs Benedict, or Josiah's Full English for the adults. The children's menu offers fruit, pastries, and toast, as well as the main choices of Little Potter's English breakfast, eggs and soldiers, or pancakes. Vegan and vegetarian options are also available.

The opportunity will take place on Saturday November 30, Sunday December 1, Saturday December 7 and Sunday December 8, Saturday December 14 and Sunday December 15, and Friday December 20 to Sunday December 22. Tickets cost £25 for adults, £15 per child, and £6 for children under three years (breakfast is not included for children under three years old).

Churnet Valley Railway, Froghall

Churnet Valley Railway is offering an incredible chance for little ones and their families to take a ride on The Polar Express. Visitors are encouraged to wear their pyjamas on board, where they will meet Santa, The Conductor, singing chefs, and The Hobo - just like in the film.

Children will be given hot chocolate and cookies on board, with the round-trip journey taking around one hour. Tickets cost £28.95 per person for a standard ticket, or £39.95 per person for a premium ticket, and babies under two years old can ride on their parent’s lap for a price of £3. Dates available include November 16 and 17, November 22 to November 24, November 29 and 30, December 1, December 6 to December 8, December 12 to December 23.

Aston Marina, Stone

Families can enjoy breakfast with Saint Nic and a visit to his grotto - with a present in tow - on Saturday December 9. The food includes a full English breakfast (children’s and vegetarian options available), or a choice of savoury or sweet waffles along with miniature freshly baked pastries and preserves.

This two hour event will take place between 9am to 11am. Tickets cost £20.50 for adults, £12 for children, and £5 for infants.

Marston’s Horn & Trumpet (Stoke) and The Cotton Mill (Newcastle)

Santa is visiting guests at the Horn & Trumpet in Daisy Bank Road, Stoke, this Christmas, as well as at The Cotton Mill in Liverpool Road, Newcastle. The Marston’s pubs are offering guests a chance to eat and meet Father Christmas - not forgetting to hand out gifts to those on his nice list.

This will take place between 10am until midday on December 14 and 15, and December 21 and 22 at the Horn & Trumpet, whilst The Cotton Mill is offering the same dates but will be starting from 11am until 1pm. Tickets cost £10 per person at the Horn & Trumpet, and £12 per person at The Cotton Mill, which is also offering the opportunity to have breakfast with Santa on November 30, and it is also hosting pizza with Santa on December 6, 18 and 23.

Keele Hall

People can feast on either breakfast or lunch at Keele Hall on Sunday December 8. Children will receive a present from Santa Claus as well as the chance to talk to him. Breakfast is now sold out, but there are still reservations for the lunch time slot.

The lunch with Santa includes a two-course lunch buffet, starting at 12.30pm or 1pm depending on each guests booking preference. Adult tickets cost £27 per person, £20 for children aged between three to 12 years, and £3 for children aged three years or younger.

Victoria Hotel, Newcastle

This Ember Inns establishment is hosting breakfast with Saint Nicholas on December 7 and 8. Every child will receive a special gift from the main man, with the event being priced at £10.99 per person.

The Polite Vicar, Newcastle

The Polite Vicar has set up two dates where Santa will be visiting the popular pub, and it’s the cheapest on our list. Priced at £8.99, children and their families can meet the man in red and get a gift from him too.

The tickets include a breakfast and a drink for the little ones. It will take place on Saturday December 14 and Saturday December 21 from 9.3am.

Toby Carvery, Talke

Back by popular demand, breakfast with Santa Claus will be taking place at the Toby Carvery in Congleton Road, Talke. Father Chrsitmas will be visiting the restaurant every Saturday and Sunday from December 7 until Christmas Eve.

There will be breakfast for the kids, activity sheets for them to complete, as well as a chance for little ones to chat to Santa and get a present. The event costs £9.99 per person, going up to £10.99 on Christmas Eve.

Yates, Newcastle

Yates in Newcastle is hosting a breakfast with Santa event at its Newcastle town centre branch on Sunday December 1. Children will have the opportunity to write a letter to the big man in red and receive a gift too.

Tickets cost £10 per child. The event will take place between 10am until 1pm.

Harvester, Trentham Lakes

Children will receive a breakfast, drink, chocolate treat, activity sheet and more festive goodies when they attend the breakfast with Santa event at the Harvester in Trentham Lakes. Father Chrsitmas will be making an appearance here every Saturday and Sunday from December 7 up until Christmas - including on Monday 23 and Tuesday 24 December. Tickets cost £9.99 per child.
