A pokey studio flat with a toilet wedged inside the shower cubicle has sparked outrage online after it was listed for rent at £1,000 per month.

The small apartment, advertised on OpenRent, offers tenants a studio apartment in a desirable part of Manchester - just off the A34 outside of the city centre.

But after the pictures of the flat were shared by the Manchester Evening News, showing a toilet stuffed inside a glass shower cubicle and a kitchen sink splashback appearing to show nude paintings, readers were left with questions about the property.

The studio, at Victoria Park, has been listed as available on OpenRent, offering potential tenants a chance to 'fully enjoy your own space and time without any interference.'

The description says the apartment comes with 'it's own shower room' - yet it seems those using the toilet would get no privacy due to the shower cubicles' completely transparent glass door.

But at the cost of £1,000 per month - or £230.77 per week - possible tenants would be living and sleeping in the small room with a glass shower cubicle next to where they prepare their food. There are no pictures of the area where tenants would sleep, however a kitchen splashback featuring nude paintings was pictured in the ad.

"Less leg room on that loo than a Ryanair flight," one person quipped, as another wrote: "That splashback in the kitchenette. Staring at that whilst peeling the spuds."

"May as well stick the mattress on the kitchen worktop," suggested another as a fourth person commented: "Can shower and everything else at the same time lol."

Another reader humorously questioned: "Where's the microwave? Inside the tumble dryer??" as another asked: "Where do u sleep? Under the sink????"

The studio is described as being in an 'excellent modern condition' and in a 'leafy conservation area', close to the university campus and shops and bars. It also described the busy Oxford Road corridor as 'beautiful and peaceful'.

The latest advert comes just weeks after another studio rental was listed in the same Victoria Park area. There was outrage after the advert, seemingly showing a bed crammed inside a conservatory at the back of a house along with a shared kitchen, was listed for rent at £1,250 per month.
