Where and how to find your Surrey Half Marathon results
Runners from far and wide have flocked to Woking on Sunday (September 8) for the annual Surrey Half Marathon. Over 4,500 runners are set to hit the pavements for the 13.1-mile event, putting their months of training and practice to the test.
Kicking off from Woking Leisure Centre, the site opened at 6.30am this morning, with an event village operating throughout the day. Here you will find bag storage, retail and charity stalls, food and drink and toilets.
The marathon itself began at 9am, beginning and ending outside of Woking Leisure Centre. This was followed by a 5k at 9.30am and a run for juniors which started at 9.40am.

Organisers RunThrough say the half marathon and 5k courses follow a single loop from central Woking into the surrounding countryside and back again. The start will see runners heading along Woking Park before turning left onto Kingfield Road then a right to Vicarage Road.
There are pacers throughout to help runners along their way. Road closures are in place throughout the area to allow the marathon to take place safely, the full details of which can be found here.
Organisers Run Through have said roads that need to be closed for the event will reopen "within a few hours", with the closures set to be in place until 1pm. Roads are being closed for the safety of all road users, including runners and pedestrians.
Once finished, there will as ever be medals for runners who complete the Surrey Half Marathon. Organisers have also promised post-race goodies including water, snacks and more.
There will be a prize giving for the top three male and female participants in each distance. First place in each age group "can expect an email reward in the week following the race", organisers say.
There will also be prize money (£200- 1st, £150- 2nd, £100- 3rd) sent out, only for those who beat the following times:
Half Marathon: Men’s Sub 67:30 mins, Women’s Sub 73 mins
5k Men’s Sub 14:30, Women’s Sub 16:00mins
At the end of the half marathon, results will be posted to the Run Through results page here. These will be listed in gun time order (the time from the start of the race, to you finishing).
Runners will also be able to see their chip time, which is the exact time from when you cross the start line to your finish. The difference between times may be due to it taking a few minutes to get everyone over the start line.
Of course, many will want photographs to commemorate their impressive achievement and organisers have confirmed that a photographer will be taking pictures at the event. These will be available to view afterwards here, while photos from previous years can be found on the Surrey Half Marathon website.
