Whip up 'dreamy' homemade Biscoff spread in just 2 minutes
If you’re a lover of everything Biscoff but don’t want to fork out money for a jar of smooth or crunchy in your nearest supermarket, there’s a sure-fire recipe which means you can create it from the comfort of your own home. Just before you think it’s a laborious task, it’ll take you all of two minutes to do.
Emma Hollingsworth, a cookbook author and health coach, shared the sweet spread recipe, perfect for the autumn for you to try at home. What’s even better is that it’s completely vegan, so there aren’t any restrictions.
She released her second cookbook back in 2023 - ‘Vegan Chocolate Treats - with over 100 recipes which are easy to follow with minimal faff. Emma claimed her Biscoff recipe removes all the "nasties" from the spread.
In an Instagram post from earlier this month, Emma wrote: “My version of this super popular spread uses nut butters instead of processed cookies, and the natural sweetness of maple syrup instead of refined sugar. It’s got the signature spice blend of Biscoff but without the nasties!”
Emma’s Reel has been viewed over a massive 350,000 times, racking up 3,216 likes and 144 comments. @healmedelicous simply said: “Dreamy.”
@bakingnome replied, “Ooh this sounds delicious,” while Eva wrote, “Oh if this tastes good I’ll be in your debt forever.”
Sophie agreed: “Saving this for when I’m home.” @nc90schic commented: “Oh my daze, you have saved my life!!”
@foodallergymoms_andmore said: “Oh my! Need to try this ASAP.”
So if you’re looking for a replacement and homemade alternative to your usual Biscoff spread, this is what you’ll need.
Homemade Biscoff spread
Ingredients
112g almond butter
112g cashew butter
2 tbsp maple syrup
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground ginger
1/4 tsp ground cloves
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
Pinch of salt
Method
Add the nut butters to a bowl, then add in maple syrup, spices and salt if using and stir together well.
