Whoopi Goldberg has apologized after she used an ethnic slur on the talk show 'The View'. She used the slur when talking about the 2020 presidential election with her co-hosts. The word she used is a slur against people of Romani heritage but the actress was quick to notice her mistake and issued an apology. She admitted that she “should have thought about it a little longer” before saying the slur and could have used the word “cheated” instead.
