Why Frankie wasn't on Love Island podcast with Samira

From Digital Spy

Former Love Island contestant Samira Mighty appeared on the show's The Morning After podcast on Tuesday (July 17), but noticeably absent was her now-boyfriend Frankie Foster.

But don't worry, there isn't any trouble in paradise here, as it turns out Frankie's just feeling a little under the weather.

Speaking exclusively to Digital Spy, Capital FM's Breakfast Show co-host Vick Hope, who was also a guest on The Morning After, confirmed why Frankie was absent.

"He's sick. Frankie's got a fever in bed," Vick said. "They've been in the same hotel since they got back. So they get to spend loads of time together."

On Wednesday (July 18) morning, Vick chatted to Samira on the Breakfast Show along with co-hosts Roman Kemp and Sonny Jay.

"I love her. I have so much respect for her," Vick said of Samira. "I think she did the right thing in walking when she did."

Samira left the Love Island villa last week, shortly after the departure of Frankie.

Explaining her decision at the time, Samira said: "I think that it is the right thing to do. Just follow my heart because I've never done that before.

"I've always taken the back seat and now I need to go for it head-on and leave and just go for Frankie... I've got to go with my gut feeling."

Just days later, the pair became an official couple when Frankie asked Samira to be his girlfriend during their appearance on Aftersun. Aww!

Love Island continues tonight (July 18) at 9pm on ITV2.
