The Champions League returns this midweek, but Liverpool fans will not be watching the Reds on TNT Sports. Their first match of the League phase is instead on Amazon Prime Video, one of 17 games the streaming service will be exclusively showing this season.

They have their pick of the matches every Tuesday and have chosen Liverpool's over Young Boys vs Aston Villa, which kicks off earlier in the evening. All five of their selections so far, understandably, feature Premier League clubs.

Arsenal's second and third matches at home to Paris Saint-Germain and Shakhtar Donetsk in October will also be on Prime. Then the Reds are back in early November when Xabi Alonso brings his Bayer Leverkusen team to Anfield.

Manchester City's game against Arne Slot's former employers, Feyenoord, is their fifth of the League phase. They will show three more matches across December and January but have yet to announce them.

Therefore, that means the Reds' game in Girona, visit of Lille or trip to play PSV Eindhoven could still end up on Amazon. But the home match against Bologna and the away game in Leipzig will be on TNT Sports.

Every Champions League fixture has been on the channel - formerly BT Sport - since the 2015/16 season. However, that changed for this campaign as Amazon and the BBC acquired some rights to show Europe's premier club competition in the summer of 2022.

Highlights will now be on terrestrial television on Wednesday nights with a regular midweek edition of Match of the Day hosted by Mark Chapman. The deal with all three providers runs until 2027, with TNT still showing 187 of the 204 games each season and every match across the Europa League, featuring Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur, and the Europa Conference League, which Chelsea are in this season.
