Prince Harry has arrived at Pippa Middleton's wedding to James Matthews without US actress girlfriend Meghan Markle.

The 32-year-old royal was photographed arriving at St Mark's Church in Englefield with his brother, the Duke of Cambridge, instead.

It's believed that Suits star Meghan will be at the reception at the Middleton's family home in nearby Bucklebury, but skipped the ceremony as part of royal protocol (via Sky News).

As Pippa's wedding is not a royal event, it's against royal protocol for members of the royal family to upstage proceedings, and it's believed that Meghan's presence could have distracted from Pippa's big day.

It's reported she will join guests in the huge glass marquee that has been installed in the grounds of the Middleton's home after Pippa and James exchange vows.

Meanwhile, it was recently claimed that the Queen has given Prince Harry her approval for Harry to potentially propose to the 35-year-old star.

The couple have been dating since last year, and Meghan arrived in the UK earlier this week before being whisked off to Kensington Palace.

She was recently pictured cheering Harry on from the sidelines at a royal polo match, with other images of the pair kissing later emerging.

Other guests at Pippa's wedding have included Pippa's sister the Duchess of Cambridge and her children Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

The groom's brother, former Made in Chelsea star Spencer Matthews, was pictured performing best man duties for older brother James, while Pippa's brother James Middleton was accompanied by TV presenter Donna Air.
