Meghan McCain won't be competing for a mirrorball trophy anytime soon.

During the Sept 4. episode of her Citizen McCain podcast, the former View host revealed that she had been approached by the producers of Dancing with the Stars to compete on the show on three separate occasions — but said no each time.

McCain said her reservations came from her inability to dance and her plans to pursue politics in the future.

"I just don't want to publicly humiliate myself," she explained. "I'm a terrible dancer and I don't do reality TV. The amount of reality TV I've been asked to do would blow your mind. I'm always like, what about my personality says I'd be good on these kind of platforms? I'm pretty shy in person. I'd be awful."

The daughter of late Senator John McCain, 39, admitted that her participation in the show would have earned her a pretty penny. She went on to share that her friend Clay Aiken told her how much he made during his stint on The Masked Singer.

"I'm not going to say how much [it pays] because I don't have his permission, but he did The Masked Singer, and The Masked Singer, everybody should want to get on The Masked Singer," McCain continued, adding that she "wouldn't have to work for a year" if she went on.

"I do not do reality TV, because there's still a tiny little window in my life that I want to run for office at some point, and you can't do both. You just can't. It's just not serious," she explained. "Come to me if I'm starving in the street and I've had some financial issues, but, I'm fine."

While fans may not see McCain on DWTS any time soon, the competitive dance show has seen its fair share of political contestants, including Bristol Palin and Sean Spicer.
