A stylish contrast of pale pink and matte black is used creating a warm yet playful dining space in Theo-Bert Pot's home: Theo-Bert Pot from Thenicestuffcollector.com

When we first discovered interior blogger and graphic designer Theo-Bert Pot's home in ELLE Decoration, it was love at first sight.

The gorgeous home he has created with his partner Jelle, an interior designer, is a fusion of Scandinavian, French and Dutch design - with a colour palette worthy of an interior Oscar.

You only have a scroll through Theo-Bert's Instagram account to understand why his posts amass thousands of likes. His home is bursting with style and character through the use of unusual artifacts, stylish lighting, plant life and colour.

Theo-Bert isn’t afraid to combine different textures and colours. We especially love the forest green and matt black hues used on the walls. They perfectly compliment the velvet and fur as well as the oak floors, and create a cosy sophisticated feel.

In the dining room we see him use a warm neutral colour palette of dusty pink (a colour which is set to be even bigger than it was last year), which pairs so well with the mid-century furniture. The result? A welcoming, relaxing space.

Colourful paint isn't just for walls, it can also be used for customizing furniture, which is great way to update a room and add a some colour. It’s time to get confident in your decorating choices. Update a wall or piece of furnture with a lick of paint, and remember if you don't like it you can always paint it back.
