Yahoo News Wicked cast always knew the real title of Part 2
The cast of Wicked have revealed they always knew what the recently announced real title of Part 2 was.
It was confirmed this week that the second instalment of The Wizard of Oz prequel musical, which covers the second act of the stage show, is called Wicked: For Good.
But while that title has only just been announced publicly, the cast have known about it since they began filming all the way back in 2022.

"We had [For Good] printed on our original scripts, the hard copies that we were originally given," Glida star Ariana Grande told Variety. "We were floating around different ideas but the scripts were printed with it since day one.
"I'm glad it's official now because we grew rather attached to it. It's just the perfect title because this project really has changed us for good."
Speaking of the second film, Ariana's co-star Marissa Bode teased it will make a change from the stage show in order to be a better example of disabled representation.
Meanwhile, Ariana also recently shared that she and Elphaba star Cynthia Erivo fought to keep one specific line from the live version in the film adaptation after director Jon M Chu and the writers changed it to fit with The Wizard of Oz.

"I called Cynthia. I was like, 'Cynthia, did you finish the script?' She was like, 'I'm almost done, babe'. I was like, 'Did you see it? — 'The f**king Wizard will see you now' is missing.' She was like, 'What are you talking about?' I was like, 'Look, it's not there,'" she recalled on the Sentimental Men podcast.
"Then we call Jon together to address this massive problem. The first thing on our task list, we literally bombarded him. I add her into the chat, we both were like 'We have to handle this. It can't be that.'"
Wicked is out in cinemas now, Wicked: For Good will be released on November 22, 2025.
