Wickes bans night-time parking in big blow to boy racers
Retail giant Wickes has brought in parking restrictions at its Stoke-on-Trent superstore. The new rules allow customers to park at the Tunstall store for up to 90 minutes.
But parking is now completely banned between 9pm and 5am - and any driver caught breaking the rules will be slapped with a £100 fine. Parking fines will also be dished out to drivers caught flouting disabled parking rules and parking over more than one bay as well as to motorists caught on camera walking off the site.
It comes as the car park has been used as a meeting place for car enthusiasts and follows complaints about Reginald Mitchell Way and James Brindley Way being used as race tracks.
