Wikileaks publishes details of CIA “hacking tools”

The whistle-blower website Wikileaks has published details of what it says are hacking tools used by the CIA.

They are said to include malware that targets a variety of operating systems. The UK’s MI5 agency is said to have built a system of spyware attack that targets Samsung televisions.

The CIA would not confirm the report.There was no immediate comment from the Home Office.

Wikileaks says it has published the details to initiate a debate on whether the security services are operating beyond their mandated powers.
