Wildfire in Big Sur, California, Prompts Evacuations

Evacuation orders were issued on January 21, as a wildfire burned in Big Sur, California, local media reported.

The American Red Cross opened a shelter for evacuated residents on Friday night, NBC reported.

The fire, dubbed the Colorado Fire, had spread to 1,500 acres, Cal Fire told local media citing officials.
