Wildfire Burns 35 Acres After Erupting Near Wrightwood
A wildfire started near Wrightwood, California, on Saturday, June 11, and burned 35 acres at a “moderate rate of spread,” official reports said.
Video filmed by Tia Neuroth in Wrightwood shows flames from the blaze, dubbed the Sheep Fire.
As of late Saturday, approximately 200 firefighters had been assigned to the wildfire, which was at zero percent containment. No evacuation orders had been issued, and the fire was around 1.3 miles from the nearest structure, at Desert Front Road in Wrightwood.
