Wilko has become the latest retailer to partner with Deliveroo, offering shoppers on-demand delivery of over 3,000 home and garden products in as little as 25 minutes. Deliveroo chief operating officer Eric French said: “It’s fantastic to welcome family favourite Wilko onto Deliveroo, and to offer their huge range of household essentials for delivery in as little as 25 minutes.

"Our customers really value the convenience of having the high street brought to their doorstep, and that’s why we’re excited to continue these partnerships with well-loved retailers like Wilko as we expand ‘Deliveroo Shopping’ and add more selection for our customers.”

Wilko owner CDS Superstores CEO Alex Simpkin said the launch made the brand “so much more accessible” to its loyal customer base. He said: "There’s a huge love for the brand and while we continue to open new stores this partnership gives us the opportunity to reach people quicker. All the great things you expect from Wilko and more in as little as 25 minutes."

French, Chief Operating Officer at Deliveroo, noted that shoppers "really valued" the convenience of its service and looks to continue collaborations with "well-loved retailers" such as Wilko. This is the first time Wilko has offered a rapid delivery service option, and the partnership allows customers to order from a range of 3,000 homeware essentials on the Deliveroo app.

The service will be available in 10 Wilko stores to start before being rolled out to more UK stores going forward. Launching from 10 locations, including Edinburgh, Bristol, and Nottingham, the service will expand to an additional 50 locations by the end of the year.

The partnership comes as Deliveroo Shopping, its non-food offer, continues to grow, catering to increasing customer demand for quick access to household necessities. The first 10 sites are Edinburgh and Bristol as well as Nottingham, Bournemouth, Eccles, Manchester, Bedford, Harlow, Plymouth and Leeds.
