Will.i.am Is Back With New ‘Dial’ Smartwatch

American musician and entrepreneur Will.i.am has launched a second attempt at a smartwatch.

Create by The Voice judge’s tech company i.am+, the new ‘Dial’ watch was unveiled at London Fashion Week and looks suspiciously like his first smartwatch, the ‘Puls’ which was slated by reviewers when a limited number of devices were produced in 2014.

Like the previous model, the dial operates independently from a smartphone thanks to a built-in sim card slot.

That means users can use the wearable to send texts and emails, make calls and play music.

Will.i.am’s fledgling tech brand also unveiled a voice-enabled Artificial Intelligence platform called AneedA, which is designed to simpify the way that consumers internet with the web and listen to music.

The dial will be available from April exclusively on mobile service provider Three with a two-year contract.

Speaking about his new partnership with Three, Will.i.am said: “We’ve been working on a vision, a product and a platform that we believe will move the needle in popular culture”.
