Willian has admitted he wants to play more for Chelsea, but will continue to "do his job" whenever he does start for the champions this season.

The Brazilian, who was Chelsea's Player of the Year two seasons ago, has been used mostly as a substitute by coach Antonio Conte this term because of the Italian's desire to utilise a 3-5-2 formation instead of a 3-4-3 system, in which Willian could play in.

But the winger did start on Tuesday night against Huddersfield Town as Conte switched back to a 3-4-3 formation, and impressed as he scored one and set up Chelsea's two other goals in a 3-1 win.

After the match, Willian expressed his desire to get more game time with the champions but insisted he will do his best for Conte's men regardless.

"Always when I play, I want to play well and make the difference with my teammates," Willian told BT Sport. "Of course, I want to play every game - everyone wants to play every game - but only 11 can start.

"So always I do my job."

Chelsea currently sit in third place in the Premier League standings - 11 points behind leaders Manchester City, who can extend that advantage back to 14 should they beat Swansea City away on Wednesday night.

But Willian doesn't think the title race is over, adding: "We are Chelsea, and we have to fight until the end."
