Residents of Wilmington, North Carolina have been left stranded by Hurricane Florence, after flooding has blocked key routes in and out of the city.
As much as 40 inches of rain were seen in some places as Hurricane Florence passed over Wilmington on its way through North and South Carolina.
This footage was shot in a community surrounded by three bodies of water, the Intracoastal Waterway, Pages Creek and Howe Creek.
The Middle Sound Loop Road which encircles the community, eventually collapsed after water from a nearby marina rushed in and flooded its foundations.
