Wind-Driven Wildfire Grows Beyond 19,000 Acres in Ventura County

Evacuations were ongoing in California’s Ventura County overnight into Thursday, November 7, as a fast-moving wildfire, fueled by Santa Ana winds and high temperatures, continued to grow.

According to local reports, the Mountain fire destroyed dozens of homes since it began on Wednesday morning.

By Thursday afternoon, the fire burned 19,643 acres, according to fire officials.
