Windows of Edinburgh pet shop smashed as police stand on scene

An Edinburgh shop has had their windows smashed with police on the scene.

The incident saw the windows of a pet shop at 43 Roseburn Terrace completely smashed at around 7pm on Sunday. At least three officers were seen on the street.

Locals reported seeing someone 'covered in blood'. It's understood that the shop is currently under renovation.

An eye-witness told Edinburgh Live: "Someone was covered in blood.

"I think someone went through the window. Hopefully everyone is okay."

The unit previously operated as a pet shop named House of Hound, which closed down last year.

Police Scotland has been approached for comment.
