Windows were smashed and items were stolen from vehicles in a Leicester car park. Thieves struck in St Augustine Road, in the city centre, at the weekend.

Leicestershire Police, which has not named the car park, said it had received four reports in total - two relating to items being stolen from vehicles, and two reporting “damage” to vehicle windows, but nothing was stolen.

The four had left their vehicles in the car park between Friday, September 20, and Monday, September 23. A spokesperson for the force urged anyone with information about the incidents to come forward.
