Winds of up to 55mph to hit Coventry as Met Office warns of Storm Bert 'disruption'
Coventry is set to be hit by strong winds today as the UK continues to be battered by Storm Bert. Gusts are expected to reach up to 55mph.
Forecasters at the Met Office have issued a wind warning for Coventry and Warwickshire, which will be in force until 9pm today (Sunday, November 24). Residents have been warned of 'disruption' with city bus and train services likely to be affected.
Downpours are also expected across the city throughout the day (November 24). Temperatures will fall between 7C and 15C in a day described as 'windy but mild.'

A spokesman for the Met Office said: “Cloudy with heavy rain gradually clearing this evening (November 24), with clear skies developing through the early hours (November 25). Winds easing a touch and feeling cooler.”
Residents were urged to avoid St Martins Road in Finham this morning (November 24) as a tree had fallen at the junction with Droylsdon Park Road. Nobody was believed to have been injured.
