Toddler in Stroller Pushed Into Dublin Traffic by Strong Winds From Storm Erik

Strong Storm Erik winds nearly swept a child from a stroller and into oncoming Dublin traffic on Friday, February 8.

This video, captured by a cyclist in North Strand, shows the wind bowling over a child in a carriage as their parent runs after a garment caught by the breeze. The child is swiftly recovered and not harmed by any of the nearby cars.

The winds in Dublin on Friday reached 40 miles per hour, according to local forecasters. In Northern Ireland and western Scotland, waves battered the coasts and winds whipped even harder, reaching 75 miles per hour. Credit: Gearóid Healy via Storyful
