WingJam to take over Bussey Building with three-day chicken wing festival

If you’re a sucker for chicken wings, you'll be pleased to hear there’s an entire festival dedicated to the finger-licking food coming to Peckham in July.

From July 6-8, WingJam will be taking over Peckham’s Bussey Building for a weekend, to celebrate all things chicken wings.

Award-winning chefs will be serving up wings at just £1 per portion and you’ll be treated to your very own free bottle of Cholula Hot Sauce to take home.

If you think you can handle heat, the event will also be offering a Hot Wing Challenge for fiery contestants to enter at their own risk.

As for the drinks, expect lashings of beer and cocktails to wash down your succulent wings.

The festival will also host live bands and DJs on the rooftop at the Bussey Beer Garden - so you can tuck into your sticky chicken wings with a background of live music and enjoy the great views of the city.

Alex Davis, director of WingJam said: “We will be welcoming the likes of Drums & Flats, Da Ja Chicken, The Joint, Bun That and Guinea Fowlers – with more award-winning chefs and pop-ups still to be announced."
