It's that time of year again: the biggest names in music are fighting it out at the MTV Video Music Awards.

There's a new host in pop queen Katy Perry, new categories including Artist of the Year and Best Fight Against The System, and as for the award itself – MTV has kindly changed its name from the Moon Man to the Moon Person in the name of gender neutrality.

As the prizes are handed out at The Forum in Inglewood, California, follow the list of nominees below which we'll update throughout the night.
