Winter Storm Dumps Heavy Snow on Chicago

A powerful storm dumped several inches of snow on Chicago over January 30 and January 31, the National Weather Service (NWS) said.

NWS Chicago recorded 9.5 inches of snow in the suburb of Romeoville by 7 am Sunday morning. It warned against non-essential travel as “very hazardous road conditions” were reported across the area.
