Winter Storm Dumps Record-Breaking Amount of Snow in Kentucky

The National Weather Service said a record-breaking amount of snow fell in Lexington, Kentucky, on January 6, as snow bands moved across the state.

The NWS reported 9.9 inches (25 cm) of snow from Lexington, which broke the previous snowfall record for January 6, set in 1910.
