Winter Storm Leads to Downed Trees and Power Outages in Mayacamas Mountains
A winter storm brought snow to California’s Mayacamas Mountains on Friday, February 24, leading to blocked roads and power outages, according to Sonoma Valley Fire District.
This footage shows snowflakes falling in slow motion on Trinity Road, which the fire district said is now impassable.
“While it is exciting we are getting snow in our area please do not go to find it,” the department said on Facebook. “The roads are very dangerous right now and it is not worth the risk.”
According to the National Weather Service, eight inches of snow accumulated in the area on Friday. Credit: @trinitywarners via Storyful
