Winter Storm Piles Snow Across Iowa Roads

Heavy snow fell across Iowa’s Quad Cities on Tuesday, December 29, leading to continued accumulation and hazardous roads, the National Weather Service (NWS) reported.

The entire region was under a winter storm warning and winter weather advisory as of Tuesday morning, the NWS announced.

The Iowa Department of Transportation warned of low visibility and snow-covered roads as accidents were being reported along highways in Des Moines.
