Winter Storm Shuts Down Northern California Highways

Heavy snow shut down roads in Northern California on Monday, December 27. This video was captured by Caltrans District 3, who said it shows road conditions on SR-20 near Bear Valley on Monday morning.

According to the department, I-80, SR-20, and SR-49 would remain closed throughout Monday “due to downed trees, power lines and continued heavy snow.”

“Crews are working around the clock to get the highways reopened,” Caltrans wrote on Twitter.
