Christmas is the perfect time for some festive fun. There are endless Christmas Markets to enjoy but to get a wintery thrill ride then Londoners can head on down to Winterland in Dartford.

Winterland is a fun festive festival with an amazing selection of rides, games, attractions, and delicious treats based at Bluewater Shopping Centre, outside The Village near Zizzi. Winterland is a great day out for all the family to enjoy.

A spokesperson for Winterland describes the attraction as a "spectacular event" filled with "wonder and excitement". It opened its doors on November 9 and will run until January 12, 2025 so there is plenty of time to ride on bumper cars, waltzers and a double-deck Christmas carousel among many other rides as well.

There is a 40-metre high Observation Wheel where you can appreciate the lights of Winterland and the surrounding area, and for adrenaline junkies there is the gyro swing ride called 'Chaos'. Visitors can also have a go on Miami, which is an up and down rotational ride with a sudden drop.

For the smaller kids there is a Super Mario slide or a jet plane ride or you can go into a mirror maze or on Mickey's train too. There is something for each age to enjoy cementing it as the ultimate family destination.

When all the excitement from the rides wears off and it is time for refreshments, then there are loads of great options. The highlight would be trying the Yorkshire Pudding Wraps which are filled with meat, vegetables and potatoes then topped with a thick gravy and sauce.
