Winterville is back and it's bigger and brasher than ever

South London scrooges beware, Winterville has just announced the return of its alternative festive wonderland.

Taking up residence on Clapham Common, this year's installment features Clapham's first ice rink, an impressive street-food spread by Street Feast, screenings of festive classics in Backyard Cinema's Winter Night Garden and a UV golf course.

There's also a Ferris wheel and a traditional Christmas market for mum and dad, while a tea dance, Santa's workshop, mini fairground and a family rave (featuring Big Fish Little Fish) should be enough to keep children happy.

And the best bit? An eclectic lineup of left-field shows.

Far removed from traditional festive fare, Winterville's huge stage lineup includes everything from Mexican wrestling from Lucha Britannia to Sink the Pink presents The Merry Marys, as well as appearances from Little Gay Brother and Mariah and Friendz!

Oh, and a special shoutout to the All Abba Roller Disco - we can't wait.
