Wintry Mix of Precipitation Brings 'Slushy Snow' to Northeast Nebraska

Rain and snow showers arrived in Wayne, Nebraska, on Wednesday, January 6, with precipitation concentrated in the state’s northeastern region, according to the National Weather Service.

Footage shared by weather photographer Joe Reklaitis shows snow falling on Wednesday morning after rain had melted previous snowfall, Reklaitis wrote in a caption.

“The roads and sidewalks are covered with wet, slushy snow,” Reklaitis added in a tweet two hours later.
