The Weeknd, Skepta and Chance the Rapper have been announced as headliners for this year’s Wireless Festival.

On the Friday, US musician Chance will take to the main stage in Finsbury Park, joined by the likes of Zara Larsson, Bryson Tiller, Post Maline and Big Narstie.

Skepta will headline on the Saturday, which also feature performances from Sean Paul, Wiley, Rae Sremmurd, Young Thug and Section Boyz.

US singer-songwriter The Weeknd – real name Abel Makkonen Tesfaye – takes the main slot on the Sunday.

The last day of the festival will also see the likes of Nas, Tory Lanez, Tyga, Wizkid, Desiigner and Ty Dolla $ign perform.

The announcement comes the morning after this year’s Brit Awards, which saw performances from Skepta, Ed Sheeran and Stormzy, Coldplay, Katy Perry and Robbie Williams.

Some viewers have criticised ITV’s decision to censor much of the Skepta’s performance of his track Shutdown.

During the chorus the words “ring ring p****” were repeatedly omitted from the song – even though the performance came after the 9pm watershed.

One joked that they ‘turned it into a live dance’ instead of a music performance, while another say they ‘kicked the TV’ thinking there was a problem with it.

Wireless Festival 2017 will take place July 7-9 2017.
