Wisconsin Firefighters Crawl Across Frozen Lake to Rescue Dog

Firefighters in Argyle, Wisconsin, staged a dramatic rescue of a dog that had fallen through the ice of a frozen pond on Saturday, December 21.

According to WKOW, the 8-month-old German Shepard, named Pepper, fell through the icy pond after it escaped from its owner’s back yard.

Footage released by the Argyle-Adams Volunteer Fire Department shows two firefighters crawling across the pond to a patch of ice to rescue the dog.
